Robert Wahab Howard (1914-1974), Ocracoke, North Carolina. Wahab was a gifted carpenter and decoy maker. He began making decoys in the 1940s. His daughter Elizabeth recalls, "He was slow, but whatever he did, he did it well; time meant nothing." This outstanding goose bears his brand which indicates it was used in his personal rig.
