Southern Queen Anne Mahogany Drop Leaf Dining Table

Attributed to Virginia, circa 1770, yellow pine secondary, rectangular top with rectangular drop leaves, single-leg gate-leg support, turned tapered leg with raised pad foot, upper molding to corners of each knee.

28 x 48 x 16.5 in., each leaf 16.75 in.

Three solid mahogany single-boards with bold graining.

Both gate-legs with break, cut and repair at mortise and tenon joint; top reset; two areas of rule joint cut, patch and repair.
