Pair of Early Mergansers, attributed to Nova Scotia

This pair of early mergansers has a very appealing folk art appeal. The drake has a horse hair crest which appears to be original. Both birds have carved eyes with heads turning slightly to the right. This pair is the epitome of fine folk art.

Each 14".5 length

Drake is original; hen has a repair to the tip of the tail, head is slightly loose.
