Western NC Pitcher and Basin

Catawba or Lincoln County, late 19th century, alkaline glazed stoneware with extensive rich blue rutile coloring, especially to the basin. Rare to find two matching washing-up pieces which were generally roughly in constant use, appear unmarked.
