Included with the painting is the following book: The Complete Works of Robert Burns (New York: Thomas Y. Crowell & Co., n.d., circa 1880s), 636 pp., small 8vo (7-1/2 in.), pictorial brown cloth with gilt to boards and page edges; front free endpaper pencil inscribed J. R. McLamb (title page dis-bound, but present; text with age toning; light wear overall).

Some abrasions and unknown white substance staining surface; several repairs with associated retouch (including vertical line at right).
