The French jewelry firm Jean Mahie is a celebrated family business founded in 1969 by Jean Marie Mazard and his daughter-in-law Jacline Nataf Mazard. With his background in women's fashion and her background in metalsmithing, they were able to create iconic pieces that grew the business in Europe and America in the 1970s. Jacline sees herself as a sculptor, "making sculptures you can wear in 22KT gold." Early in their collaboration, their designs were featured in the windows of Van Cleef & Arpels and Cartier in Paris. Today Jacline's son Cyril is involved in the business and continuing the family legacy.
