Julian Hamilton, Beach Robin Trio Mounted on Driftwood

Julian Hamilton, Sr. (1895-1967) and Julian Hamilton, Jr. (1925-2000), both of Beaufort, North Carolina. This trio of working beach robin decoys was composed on a piece of driftwood by Kroghie Andresen. It includes two birds made by Julian Hamilton, Sr. and one bird made by Julian Hamilton, Jr. One of these exact decoys is published on page 25 of Shorebird Decoys of North Carolina by Kroghie Andresen and Philip Harvey. This is an exceptional grouping.
