American Late Classical Cherry and Bird's-Eye Maple Chest of Drawers

Mid 19th century, white pine and poplar secondary, two upper recessed side-by-side drawers with backsplash, upper deep drawer over two recessed graduated drawers flanked by scrolled stiles on front bold scrolled feet, rear turned feet, flush sides.

48 x 37 x 23 in.

Note the use of cherry and bird's-eye maple solids.

Surface stains and old scratches to the top; shrinkage cracks to the sides of the case.
