Mitchell Fulcher (1869-1950),Stacy, North Carolina. Mitchell Fulcher is Carteret County's most celebrated and well known decoy maker. His work has national acclaim and his decoys reside in some of the finest collections of Southern decoys. This bluebill bears his carved brand and was in his personal hunting rig. It is believed that Mitchell carved the head, placed it on an older Mason Factory body and painted it in his iconic style. The surface has a nice aged and mellow patina.
