Circa 1840s - 1850s, .44 caliber, 4 in. octagonal rifled barrel with small triangular bayonet folded under; checkered walnut grip, fancy scrolled engraving on lock, trigger guard, and tang.

Overall length 8-1/4 in.

Working action and bayonet spring; diagonal crack to wood at the left shoulder; good metal surfaces throughout. Very good condition.
