1870s, no serial number, .36 caliber centerfire, 29-3/4 in. round barrel marked C. B. HOLDEN.-MAKER-WORCHESTER.MASS., with globe front sight, adjustable rear sight, and Vernier target sight on the tang; walnut stock with checkered pistol grip and forend; button operated falling block action with extractor lever above; nickel-plated receiver with fancy engraving thoughout, lockplate and hammer on right, faux plate on left; and checkered buttplate.
Length overall 46 in.
Private Collection New England Gunsmith Clean bore with strong spiral rifling; nickel plating largely intact and bright; barrel spotless and possibly re-blued; stock with minor marks from use. Very good condition.
