Sam Sawyer, Redhead

Sam Sawyer (1865-1921), Hog Quarter, North Carolina. Sam was an exceptional market hunter and decoy maker. His decoys are often mistakenly identified as the work of Alvirah Wright. It is quite possible that Sawyer's work influenced Alvirah Wright.
