Late 18th century, mahogany and mixed wood veneers, hinged lids with oval inlay having detailed penwork of classically dressed figures in a mountainous landscape, interior of lid with nautical star inlay, divided and line inlaid compartment, the sides of the case with repeating inlaid panels showing figures with drawn weapons, flush base.
