Possibly associated with a school, the banner carries a gilt maker's label naming "L. Narjoud - Ruelle, Paris" while its two-part staff duplicates this information on a metal plate; one side of the flag carries gilt lettering that reads "HONNEUR - PATRIE" and "CLASSE 1891" while the opposite side has "REPUBLIQUE FRANCAISE / COURS / RHONE"; the flag is bordered with bullion cord on three sides; the staff is topped with a gilt spear point; below is a two-sided panel stamped "R.F." over a tricolor streamer.
