A Near Pair of Dutch Delft Chargers

Circa 1700, blue and white chinoiserie decoration, the wide border painted with cloud and trellis diaper work, unmarked. Not an exact pair, each chargers features a Chinese peasant surrounded by mountains, flowers, fruit. Green and red coloring is introduced in the border giving a dramatic effect to the center scene.
