Late 19th century, the rectangular case with all over black lacquer and gilt highlights featuring figures/pagodas/flora and fauna, hinged lid opening to reveal a divided and lidded compartment with lidded trays, supported on double pierced legs, central stretcher and stylized carved shell and paw feet.

Finished on all four sides.

All over surface crazing; top with separation and shrinkage cracks; small separation cracks and minor losses throughout; overall as found good estate condition.
