Churches Island, North Carolina, this decoy is painted as a hen and has exceptional form, the ballast weight is from the Herters factory.

The Burgess widgeon are the smallest of the puddle ducks he made. He made most of his puddle ducks in the 1930's as it was then that widgeon and pintails came to Currituck in great numbers.
