Late 19th century, the first in carved oak with a hinged octagonal lid, interior with dark red fabric, central mirror to lid, removable interior lid, exterior of case with floral carved panels raised on turned wood feet (9 x 11 x 10.5 in.); the second in rosewood veneer with penwork mother of pearl floral inlay, interior with red velvet lining, flush base (5.25 x 13 x 9 in.).

Both refinished with later fabric lining; no key; the oak lid with old scratches; overall good condition.
