Meiji Period (1868-1912), a realistically cast bronze lion, strong muscular body, the lion's head covered with wavy mane is lifted upwards and his mouth open in a roar, to the underside is a seal reading Atsuyoshi saku (made by Atsuyoshi) the important Tokyo master metalworker Miyabe Atsuyoshi, followed by a seal of the workshop where it was casted, reading Maruki shachu seisaku (casted by the Maruki company), comes together with naturalistic carved wooden stand.
