Poplar Branch, North Carolina, this pintail is one of the few puddle ducks from him to surface.

Length 17 in.

John moved to Poplar Branch in the early 1900's. After the market hunting days, he became a hunting guide. He made two stands of decoys as he made two blinds registered with the county. His stand consisted of a few canvas swan, canvasbacks, redhead, a few puddle ducks.

Worn original paint; working repair to the neck.
