Russell Waterfield (VA, 1901-1948), Canvasback

Russell was the grandson of Malachi Waterfield. He grew up as a waterfowler and market hunted at an early age. He made oversized muscular looking decoys which have wonderful form.

Worn original paint with some flaking to the white; working repair to the neck.
