Marked "Sterling," 1870 date letter, model number 390, the shaped rim featuring three differing portrait medallions against a stippled ground and finely chased foliate design, the spout featuring a classical style portrait mask near body, the handle features a mask of Hercules with the Nemean lion, Greek key border to rim and knop above domed foot with engraving and chased lappet motif, the hinged cover featuring a finely cast model of a rampant lion holding a shield, period monogram "H" to body.
