Lot Details & Additional Photographs

VIN: ZGUKDBKD8WM113458 Mileage: 13,200

The first of three hand built vehicles from the imagination and hands of an accomplished builder, this one-of-a-kind, hand-built replica of a Morgan V-Twin powered Three-Wheeler of the 1930s. Featuring the drivetrain and full wiring harness from a Moto Guzzi 1100EV California motorcycle utilizing the 1064 CC V-Twin engine, transmission, and shaft drive, mated to an Elite Racing Transmissions reversing gearbox. The entire front suspension and steering utilizes Ford Mustang II components, with adjustable springs, and rides on wheels from a 1929 or 1930 model Ford. The rear utilizes the wheel and driveline from the original EV1100, with the addition of adjustable air shocks. Under the bonnet rests the fuel tank from the bike, as well as all of the electronics, braking components, intake, and even a custom toolbox.

The frame was constructed using steel tubing and the body formed from Ash wood sourced locally. All of the aluminum body panels were formed, fitted, and attached in the garage, and the louvres were hand made with a form built by Mr. McArthur. The car was then sent out for professional paint, the seats were covered in a rich leather. The interior fabrication was also done utilizing the existing gauges from the donor bike, and a custom linkage and shifter was made for the transmission. Many household items were used for interior items such as the coffee scoop that was used to house the turn signals, a house doorbell was used for the horn, and a wristwatch was mounted in the dash. Many replacement parts for Morgans were used such as the windscreens, mirrors and lights. The grill was fabricated from a 1930 Ford Model A piece and re-chromed. The rear lid was formed from fiberglass. Aircraft style push pins were used to secure the panels, and the riveting follows a precise pattern. A black tonneau cover is also fitted with a custom support. An authentic registration is displayed in a re-purposed soup can, and the flags of Britain, Italy and the USA fly on both sides to recognize the pedigree of this amazing machine. No details have been overlooked on this machine, or any of his others.

In wonderful original condition; due to the nature of the design of these cars, the passenger compartment is less wide than the drivers.
