Elizabeth City Foundry, Cast Iron Sinkbox Decoy

The Elizabeth City Foundry was the source of most of North Carolina's iron sinkbox decoys. Originally called the Saunders Foundry, it was founded in the 1880`s in Elizabeth City. This is an early 20th century example.
