Allan Nance (NC, b. 1940), The Texas Spread and Cured Out (two paintings)

Both are acrylic on gessoed Masonite, signed and dated 1977 at lower right, and presented in weathered wooden frames and retaining artist's card to verso. The smaller is titled The Texas Spread (Frame dimensions 10 1/2 x 13 in.); the larger is titled Cured Out (Frame dimensions 15 x 17 in.).

Born in Greensboro, Allan Nance attended North Carolina State University majoring in Design and Industrial Management. A self-taught artist, Nance turned to painting full time in 1970.

Both paintings in good estate condition.
