With the original 2.7 liter inline 6 cylinder engine, and a 5-speed manual transmission. The "E" model only produced from 1984-87 was designed with fuel economy in mind. The original 14" wheels are in great condition with new Cooper tires, and has anti-locking brake system, along with four-wheel disc brakes.
An all original car with paint in Schwarz Black, and Cardinal Red leather interior with black carpets. With red/black Coco mats added front and rear. The contrasting aluminum window and bumper trim in good condition. Options include air conditioning, cruise control, an onboard computer, power windows and mirrors, and a power sunroof. The front seats are manually adjusted. An Alpine AM/FM/CD player replaces the original radio, which is present but inoperable. An armrest was constructed, along with cupholders to fit in door pockets.

From the Collection of D. Ray McArthur, Hillsborough, North Carolina One Massachusetts owner was purportedly a BMW racer and owner of Turner Motorsports. Following owner was Courtney Green of New Jersey, a racer of BMW's, who later moved to Wake Forest, NC. In March 2000 it was purchased from Mr. Green by Mr. McArthur.
Recent work to include: timing belt and tensioners replaced; cam, crankshaft and aux seals replaced, with all new belts installed; refurbishment of original VDO analog gauge cluster (mileage is consistent with Carfax report); tune-up to include new air filter, spark plugs and wires, ignition parts, fuel pump and pressure regulator; all new exhaust from manifold back including catalytic converter, muffler and mounts.
In wonderful overall condition; recent re-conditioning revealed glossy paint; paint readings are consistent, but indicate a repair on drivers side below the B pillar (consistent with an accident reported on Carfax report); interior is like new with minor wear to drivers seat bolster, with no noticeable areas of concern; no other apparent concerns.
