Antique Framed Russian Icon of Madonna and Child

19th century, gesso with polychrome and gilt on panel, Byzantine style niche and tracery elements surrounding the Madonna and Christ Child, lower register with partially worn Cyrillic script, presented in a later glass and copper frame with magenta upholstered backing and elliptical silver mounts.
