Circa 1920s, carved and painted wood with wire bills, mounted on rod and driftwood base, published on page 72 of Shorebird Decoys of North Carolina by Kroghie Anderson and and Philip Harvey, the two curlews attributed to George Gilgo (b. 1868), flanking a peep carved by Lionel Gilgo Sr. (1915-1984).
