Two yellowlegs attributed to Timothy Bowden (1836-1913), Knotts Island, North Carolina, flank an unknown red knot possibly made in the norther Outer Banks or eastern shore of Virginia. Yellowlegs, before 1900 from carved and painted wood with nail bill through the head, published on page 194 of Shorebird Decoys of North Carolina by Kroghie Andresen and Philip Harvey. Red knot circa 1900 from carved and painted wood with inserted wood bill.
