Mid-19th century, 40-3/4 in. octagonal barrel with two sights and .45 caliber bore, the figured maple stock is fitted with brass mounts throughout and carries a GOULCHER lockplate with fancy engraving; includes wooden ramrod. Comes with rifle sock.
Overall length 57 in.
Working action; old reinforcements or repairs on either side of barrel tang; splits to the stock in front of the trigger guard have been repaired and stabilized with a thin brass plate. Good condition overall.
