Circa 1800, worked in multi color silk with painted detailing, the first depicting a curly haired maiden with a garland of flowers and her sheep in a pastoral setting (sheep with some loss); the second of gentleman beneath a tree in a pastoral setting, both presented under églomisé glass with a rosewood frame.
Frame dimensions 16 x 13.5 in.
Private Collection, Wilmington, North Carolina Good estate condition appropriate to age; some loss to paint to frame; frames with minor nicks. Not examined out-of-frames.
