Two Vintage Religious Paintings

Both are 20th century; the first an Orthodox icon of Saint Demetrius (Demetrios), Myrrhgusher of Thessalonica, polychrome and gold leaf on panel (13 1/4 x 11 in.); the second a Cusco School painting of an Archangel, oil on canvas, presented in a gilt and mirrored frame (Frame dimensions 12 x 10 1/2 in.).

Some rubbing to painted surfaces; both intentionally distressed to appear old.
