18th century or earlier, the covers fashioned from tooled vellum over wooden boards, the (61) vellum leaves within include ten charming full page, full color naive paintings illustrating the life of Christ. A later owner drew a full-page Lion of Judah in blue ink on the back of the last painting. The book's hand-stitched pouch has all over crazing and wear, some losses.

Some splits, losses and discoloration to the outer vellum on the covers; all interior leaves show heavy age toning, however the painted leaves retain vibrant colors.
