Worked in multi-color silk threads on linen ground, withs rows of alphabet, verse, and finely stitched floral and shaped motifs, stitched to bottom, "Anne Thruckstone 17234," presented under glass in a molded frame with gilt liner.

Frame size 14 x 9 in.

Private Collection, Wilmington, North Carolina

Purchased April 1990 from Mayorcas, Ltd., London and accompanied by a photocopy of original invoice and retailer's photograph of the sampler.

With some wear at bottom selvedge; with tiny holes to bottom; not examined out-of-frame.
