Pair of Antique French Giltwood Wall Brackets

Circa 1900, carved wood, gesso and gilt over a red ground, shield form shelf with acanthus leaf scroll vertical supports, appear unmarked.

17 x 10 3/4 x 8 1/2 in.

Some scattered rubbing and areas of flaking to gilt; screw holes from previous use; some later yellow paint to top shelf. overall good usable condition.
