Mint State 1877-S Trade Dollar with Spectacular Details and Toning

Storage in a 1960s 2x2 fortunately kept this colorful beauty from being dipped to a bright white in the '70s or '80s; the coin's obverse has a pleasant silver-gray appearance that reveals hints of blue toning around the devices when angled to a light source; the reverse is not as colorful, but shows incredible feather detail on the eagle's breast.

Small rim bump at 7 o'clock and a few toned contact marks are the only distractions.
