Circa 1870s, marked "English Sterling / 355" to underside, rectangular base with Ionic style column bracket feet, a short stem supports an oval form basket with gilt matte interior, the exterior of body with ornate Renaissance Revival style decoration alternating with cupids and masks amidst foliate and floral scrollwork, with swing handle, period monogram "EHS" to top of handle.
