Contemporary, porcelain tureen with cover and spill platter, depicting the East Indiaman Vryburg flying the Dutch flag, surrounded by pink peonies and with parcel-gilt iron red stylized floral border, handles with gilt stripes, and top finial with gilt decoration, based on an earlier example made for export to the Dutch market in the 18th century.
