Late 19th - early 20th century, the gold cross incorporates a small round painting of St. Anne on the face and a hand painted cipher on the reverse; the number 56 stamped to the suspension loop and signifying 14k gold; each ray of the medal is sheathed in red enamel bound by gold; a maker's initials, WK, are visible beneath the enamel on the reverse.

One embellishment between the rays is missing, else good estate condition showing expected wear.
