This 1940s pintail displays Hudson`s most dramatic paint application which was likely influenced by the Wards in Crisfield, Maryland. Ira Hudson`s youngest son, Delbert was painting many of the Hudson decoys in the 1940s and was arguably the most talented painter in the Hudson family. Delbert Hudson is credited with this artistic paint application which many collectors consider among the family`s finest efforts.
