Blitar, East Java, made by the C. J. Begeer Silver Works, Utrecht, Netherlands, tested 22K gold (.9166 fine) (19.92g), 32mm diameter, the obverse featuring a local shrine, the reverse proclaiming the nature of the award. Presented in a custom leather case with felt lining.
Acquired by Mr. and Mrs. John and Susan van Lennep, Southeast Asia and West Africa, 1960-70s Surely a very rare numismatic item likely represented by only a handful of survivors, if any.
A few faint abrasions, else uncirculated; the case with normal marks, the text on the lid's underside somewhat worn.
