Chincoteague, Virginia, carved and painted wood, glass eyes, this pair of red breasted mergansers is a masterwork by one of the finest carvers to work in Virginia, both decoys branded CIGAR.
Length 18 in each.
Cigar was given his nickname by a game warden when he lost some cigars while stealing ducks from the warden`s trap. Cigar Daisey and his stories are of folk legend. His life and decoys have been memorialized in a book by Doily Fulcher.
