Late 19th century, two patinated metal allegorical figures flank an ornate monument case, round porcelain dial behind glass with roman number chapter ring and scrolled hands, gilt egg and dart border surround, the time and strike brass movement stamped "ANSONIA CLOCK CO. / PATENTED JUNE 14, 81 / NEW YORK, U.S.A.," with second patent date June 18, 1882, all mounted on a black enamel painted terrace with front paw feet and shaped skirt, includes clock key and pendulum.
21 x 25 3/4 x 9 in.
Records from consignor indicate clock was previously serviced in 1999.
