Edo period (1615-1868), ink and colors on silk, two kakemono hanging scrolls, depicted court noble figures dressed in Heian period style, engaged in musical pursuits in scenic landscapes, signed to lower corners Yugawa Hogen with artist's red seal, wood rollers, comes together with inscribed tomobako wooden storage box.

DOA 51 x 18 1/2 in.; Sight size 41 x 14 in.

Toning to silk on both; one scroll with some lifting to silk and areas of water and general staining; slight foxing to both but more visible on one; light creasing to both; some expected wear to the brocade mounts, more damage to one.
