Anderson was a talented painter of portraits and still lifes. In 1955, he was selected by jury for inclusion in The Twenty Fourth Biennial Exhibition of Contemporary American Oil Paintings at the Corcoran Gallery of Art.

Some faint stretcher marks; concave bulging near face; slight impact crackle lower right corner; flaking spot to right of mouth.
