Paris, mid-19th century, rectangular forms, each having hinged lid with period oil on canvas hand-painted Continental landmark street scene with figures under glass, including two with tortoiseshell construction, the third with burlwood construction and tortoisehell veneer interior. All appear unsigned.
Each approximately 1 x 3 1/2 x 2 1/8 in.
Some scattered paint loss to image and craquelure; La Madeleine image with some yellowing and degradation to varnish, loss to tortoiseshell at hinges; Seine River scene box with loss to tortoiseshell primarily at sides; Burlwood box with some small cracks at front corners.
