Antique Steamer Trunk, Louis Vuitton

First quarter 20th century, constructed of monogram canvas with leather trim, brass-fitted wooded slats, Louis Vuitton patent clasp lock. The hinged lid opens to a removable divided tray over another tray, this lower one open with restraining ties. The lid interior retains a retailer label from John Wanamaker on the left and a Louis Vuitton label on the right along with stamped serial number 300771.

Unrestored condition with expected travel wear: tears to canvas and leather; tarnish to brass; interior soiling and stains with musty scent; some canvas ties missing.
