Late 19th century, one part form, burl wood veneer, applied shaped backsplash, hinged front molding panel with pigeonhole interior, two hinged convex doors with shaped panels, cast iron handles, the left with hinged panel for 'letters' and the right with patent reading "Manufactured by the Wooton Desk Co., Indianapolis, IND., Pat. Oct. 6, 1874", interior with several various sized pigeon holes, (18) hard paper drawers, four wood drawers, fall front panel opens to reveal a divided interior with four drawers, the case with raised panel sides and incised line and flower decoration, on casters.

Private Collection, Rocky Mount, North Carolina Crack and repair to upper right backsplash trim; old finish with attractive mellow patina; some tight veneer cracks; no key; the right door trim has been reset; old but later wood and brass supports to underside of each door.
