Meiji period (1868-1912), early 20th century, includes an octagonal center bowl and a large charger, both porcelain and painted in Imari palette of iron red, cobalt blue, and added gilt with Japanese motifs and flora against textile patterned panels and borders, bowl has a double foot rim and xo pattern encircling foot.

Bowl 3 5/8 in., 10 3/8 in. diameter; Charger 15 3/4 in.

Good estate condition; rubbing with loss to gilt on the rim of the bowl.
