Late 19th century, three part form, all-over black field with two tone gold Chinoiserie highlight, the upper case with applied shell carved pediment above two oval raised paneled hinged doors, shelved interior above two side-by-side drawers, above a desk with fold-over compartment with interior well, loper support, raised on a conforming base with turned legs.

Varnish inconsistency and flaking to upper case at crest and doors; gilt wear especially to desk top board; wear to legs.
